MeetMULTIVAC: Projects (Sales)

Introducing the team at MULTIVAC

24.04.2024

At MULTIVAC, our people share the same vision and values to help process and package what is valuable to your business, but how much do you know about the different areas of our business, and the people who make it all happen?

We’re making business more human and introducing you to some of our hard-working, knowledgeable, employees from the various departments at MULTIVAC UK.

It’s our April instalment of MeetMULTIVAC...

Bradley Oliver, Project Manager – Projects (Sales)

Tell us more about your role at MULTIVAC!

As a Project Manager, I am the post-sale liaison between our customers and MULTIVAC UK, this includes handling the day-to-day running of a project, creating plans and organising timescales, and resolving any issues that occur. Once a multi-channel solution or single machine is sold, the project is handed over to the projects team who then review the specification as it has been sold, and plan how MULTIVAC can provide the deliverables, as part of this we regularly check projects against KPI’s to ensure that benefits for the business are maintained.

What does your day to day look like?

Day-to-day running consists of speaking with customers and co-ordinating between our internal resources such as our technical team, Regional Sales Technicians and installs, and SOT to check the equipment is being delivered on time and to specification. On the rare occasion that things don’t go to plan, we are able to implement strategies and try our best to recover the project as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Can you tell us more about your department at MUUK?

The projects team operates as a support function to our sales team when there is a complicated multi-machine project up for tender. Our Project Engineers will gather all of the information required to build a quote for the solution and establish a line layout to see how MULTIVAC’s solution can be implemented into the customers parameters. Once a quote has been agreed and signed by a customer, the project will then be handled by one of our project managers, who will then keep the relevant sales representative informed of the status of the project and discuss relationship sensitive issues where necessary.

How long have you worked at MULTIVAC? Have you had any other roles?

This has been my only role at MULTIVAC UK, and I started in April 2022.

What do you like about working at MULTIVAC so far? What is your favourite part of your job?

During my time at MULTIVAC so far, the company has served as a fantastic work environment for me to establish myself in a fast-paced, collaborative space. All departments have clear and defined roles, and it’s easier to get support from people when required, there’s always a real can do attitude about the staff here!

My favourite part of my job is problem solving – being able to encounter project issues (that naturally occur for every company) and use a pragmatic approach to limit the fallout of the issue and bring the project back into line gives great job satisfaction.

What is a current problem our customers and the industry are facing that you are aiming to fix?

My influence on our wider customer and industry base is limited, but as a company we are currently focusing on our strong position in the market and continuously improving this for the benefit of our customers.

What are you generally working on at the moment which you are happy to share?

We recently installed a H 130 robotic crate loader for a customer in our Southeast region. We were given a strict install time by our customer, and we undertook an intensive FAT process, which we really did benefit from during the install, this resulted in an extremely happy customer and little to no issues arose during the install.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

Outside of work my hobbies are predator fishing, motorsports and camping – particularly if the cockapoo is coming!!

What is something you have always wanted to do, but haven’t done yet?

I’ve always wanted to go on a trip to Asia, although I’m looking at going for 3 weeks towards the end of the year so the goal is set!

Stay tuned for next month‘s instalment of MeetMULTIVAC!
